Re-Indigenize Your Learning Space

General, open to all. How might one re-indigenous their learning space to create a more inclusive environment for all peoples to thrive in? Intelligence lives not only in what is written but also in the body. In this workshop players will be guided through light theater/clown games, written exercises, and discussion that blends observation, reflection, and bubble popping questions. Participants will be led to create their own games/support systems to re-indigenize their classroom environment, walking away with tangible strategies to implement. Please bring a journal with an open mind and heart. Be prepared to gain a new sense of community!

SUNY Plattsburgh DTM students will share their experience working on the devised theatre piece "this is how we walk on the moon" - a performance that explored our love of outer space, astronauts, and space travel. Attendees will watch an excerpt from the show and hear from members of the show's design, tech, and management team about their perspective, experience, and process.
