General, open to all. As directors working with actors, we can often be frustrated. Actors don’t get what we’re trying to tell them, they don’t take initiative, or they just seem to be going down a different road. As actors working with directors, we can also feel frustration. General, open to all. Over the years working with actors, I've created a "Road Map" of different tools for actors and directors to unpack heightened language so that it's specific, clear, and personal. Great for actors and directors, this workshop demystifies challenging texts in a way that's fun, collaborative, and empowering. The tools they take from this session can be applied not only to Shakespeare, but any text that requires the performer and director to embrace complicated thoughts and ideas, from Caryl Churchill to August Wilson.
