General, open to all. Over the years working with actors, I've created a "Road Map" of different tools for actors and directors to unpack heightened language so that it's specific, clear, and personal. Using a Juliet speech from R & J, I work with the participants on unlocking each piece of the text to make it accessible for themselves, their scene partner(s), and ultimately the audience. Great for actors and directors, this workshop demystifies challenging texts in a way that's fun, collaborative, and empowering. The tools they take from this session can be applied not only to Shakespeare, but any text that requires the performer and director to embrace complicated thoughts and ideas, from Caryl Churchill to August Wilson.
