General, open to all. Want to make more creative character voices? Wondering how the new Nosferatu makes those sounds without wrecking his voice? In this practical and playful voice workshop, you get experiences with the physiology of breath opening and the essential coordination of healthy breath support–for expressive characters and transformations. You can apply these tools to speaking or singing. The exercises weave together methods from Fitzmaurice Voicework®, Alexander work, and Chuck Jones’s resonance exercises. If possible, dress for movement/comfort and bring a yoga mat, towel, or blanket if you’d like to use it for floor or seated activities. Participants of all abilities will be offered multiple ways to engage in the exercises and discussion fully.
