Anjalee Deshpande Hutchinson teaches at Bucknell University where in 2019 she received the Bucknell Presidential Award for Teaching Excellence and in 2022 received the Bucknell Diversity and Inclusion Award. A graduate of the MFA directing program at Northwestern University, Anjalee has freelanced as an actor /director in New York, Chicago, London and Mumbai. Ms. Hutchinson has trained in devising through The Tectonic Theatre Project, Michael Chekhov technique through the National Michael Chekhov Association and Sanford Meisner Technique through the True Acting Institute. Anjalee’s two books on Acting Technique are Acting Exercises for Non-Traditional Performance: Michael Chekhov Reimagined and Michael Chekhov and Sanford Meisner; Collisions and Convergence in Actor Training. Recently, Anjalee directed an adaptation of Veera Hiranandani's award winning YA novel The Night Diary, for the Children's Theater of Charlotte and, in the same year, served as the Interim Associate Provost for Equity and Inclusive Excellence at Bucknell University.
