About me
ANYA SOKOLOVSKAYA (Costume Designer) holds an MFA in Theatre Costume Design from University of Connecticut (UCONN). Anya has taught Costume design and technology at ACT Magnet High School and at Eastern Connecticut State University. She designed and costumed about 80 shows. Anya's work has been selected for the international exhibit in Moscow, Russia, Costume Design at the Turn of the Century, 1990-2015. She has been collaborating with HartBeat Ensemble, Hartford, CT and Playwriting Program at Brown University. She is currently an Associate Professor of Theater in Costume Design, ECSU. Anya's design motto is Expressive and not excessive.
